Regulatory Directive — Renewal of W-8BEN Certification for Foreign Accounts

Dear Client,

In compliance with U.S. federal tax law, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires all non-U.S. account holders who receive income from U.S. sources to maintain a current Form W-8BEN on file. This form certifies your foreign tax residency and allows our institution to apply the appropriate withholding rates under any relevant tax treaties.

Our compliance team has identified that your existing documentation has expired. Renewal is mandatory to avoid default withholding at the rate of 30 percent on U.S.-source income, as mandated by IRS regulations.

Please complete your renewal via our secure submission portal:

Update Certification Now

The renewal procedure is secure, confidential, and compliant with IRS e-filing standards. Once renewed, your certification remains valid for three years or until a change in residency occurs.

We encourage you to complete this update as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted account services and continued treaty benefits. For further support, please contact our Global Compliance Division.
